Captured by German SS troops, they were brutally tortured and murdered near the village of Wereth, Belgium and their bodies were left lying in a field for months. Honor for Heroes is hosting a Memorial service on Veteran's Day 2025 at the American Legion - Post 14. Future plans involved a road naming and eventual fixed Memorial!

There is currently a movement under way in Italy to recover the wreckage of the DUKW and any possible remains of the soldiers that were killed when the DUKW sank on Lake Garda during the final days of WWII.

Due to the specifics of the lake itself such as depth, low oxygen content and temperature it is thought that some human remains may still be around the wreckage. Even if remains such as bones are not found the hope is that maybe some personal affects such as dog tags, rank insignia, weapons and clothing may be recovered.

We Need to recover the "Soldiers of the Lake" and  bring our Heroes Home!

When an American citizen raises their right hand and takes the Oath, and puts their life on the line and serves Honorably they DESERVE the title of VETERAN and all the HONOR that goes along with that title. They have earned it, regardless of the number of years served or whether or not we are in a war or not!

As of right now tens of thousands of men and women who raised their right hand and took the oath to protect and defend are not considered “veterans” by the United States government and are denied certain benefits and privileges only because of the lack of serving a certain amount of active duty days under the certain circumstances or during certain times! ALL Reservists and National Guard members that take the oath, complete their initial entry training and serve honorably should be afforded the status and title of “Veteran” by the US government and should be awarded all the rights, privileges and benefits that come along with that status!

We are working with KM Fabrics, Graceland Cemetery West, and others to get a Headstone placed on the unmarked grave of a Soldier and his wife. There may be more of these in the near future.

Honor for Heroes proudly offers a respectful and dignified retirement for old, worn, and unserviceable American Flags. We ensure each flag is handled with the utmost care and honor, following proper protocols for retirement. We also have our own dedicated collection box, upcycled from an old newspaper machine, allowing community members to easily and respectfully dispose of their flags.

This needs to happen! The Federal Government has made it to where Veterans can enter any National Park for Free along with all occupants of their vehicle! SC needs to do this and better and include our First Responders!

The Come Dream with Me Prom (CDWMP) was created by Sherry Fuller, inspired by her daughter Amanda, who loved a great party but never had the chance to attend her own prom before she passed away. Believing every child deserves the opportunity to experience a prom regardless of diagnosis, physical or sensory challenges, or special needs, Sherry gathered a team to dream with her and create an event designed especially for these children and young adults.

The first CDWMP was held in 2011 in a hotel ballroom. The event is free for individuals with special needs and their chaperone, with preregistration required.

Honor for Heroes has now partnered with Area 14 South Carolina Special Olympics and taken ownership of the Prom! This is wonderful news for the future of the CDWMP

We got this idea from the VFW post in Isle of Palms, South Carolina (Post on the Coast)! This has the potential to be a great moving exhibit that will raise awareness and encourage donations! We are putting the display case together now!

Encouraging Businesses to have Veteran and First Responder Only Parking Spots

Lowe's does it! Tractor Supply has one! So why can't more businesses do it? Maybe they just need someone to present them with a good reason and a plan.
